Professor Dwight Elliott holds a Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Maryland School of Law, with areas of concentration in internet and e-commerce law; telecommunications law; intellectual property; contract law; and mediation, negotiation, and settlement. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in information management and technology from Syracuse University in 1994 and then a master’s degree in telecommunications and network management in 1996.
Elliott has been a professor of law, technology, and business for various universities for over 10 years, where he has served in a variety of roles, such as: lead professor for business law; course and curriculum developer; faculty manager, and campus dean.
In the corporate realm, he has worked in the information technology management and telecommunications industries for over 15 years, including companies such as GE, Lockheed Martin, Telcordia Technologies, and SAIC. He has a proven background in the areas of: internet and e-commerce; telecommunications; management information systems; business development; cyber security, and corporate training and development. He currently provides consultation and development services to businesses who are interested in utilizing the internet to expand their e-commerce, online education and cyber security operations. Elliott is a native of Jamaica.
