CHEQUE HANDING OVER

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ambassador Marcia Gilbert-Roberts, Director of Diaspora Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, Lincoln Downer and Project Manager at JSIF, Rhian Jones.

On Wednesday, August 22 Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kamina Johnson Smith, on behalf of the Diaspora in Canada handed over a cheque valued at CAN $8000 to the General Manager of Technical Services at the Jamaica Social investment Fund, Loy Malcolm . The proceeds are from a concert organized by a group called Friends of Jamaica, and will be used to fund social intervention projects in areas where the Zones of Special Operations are in effect.
