Minister Campbell- “Is another striking example of the strategic bilateral partnership between Jamaica and China.”

Caption: State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Sen. the Hon. Leslie Campbell says the donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the Chinese Government to Jamaica “is another striking example of the strategic bilateral partnership between Jamaica and China.”

The Minister stated that this donation valued at over 2.2 million JMD, “represents another significant contribution by our Chinese friends towards Jamaica’s public health & safety.”

In thanking the Chinese Government, State Minister in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Honourable Juliet Cuthbert Flynn reiterated that “bilateral relations remain a key component of the partnerships that drive transformation in public health.” She pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic “demonstrated the critical role that International partnerships play in mobilizing resources to strengthen the public health response.”
