Mr. Marc Somda, Ambassador designate of Burkina Faso to Jamaica (right) presented his Copy Letters of Credentials to Ambassador Marcia Gilbert Roberts, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) (left) on Tuesday, September 26, during his courtesy call, at the Ministry’s Dominica Drive address.
Ambassador Gilbert Roberts expressed condolences to Mr. Somda, regarding the August 13, 2017 terrorist attack in the capital Ouagadougou, which took 18 lives.
For his part, the ambassador-designate who is resident in Cuba, indicated an interest in deepening relations in sports, business, youth and gender affairs, and mentioned the film industry as a new area in which both countries could collaborate.
