Caribbean Forum of ACP States (CARIFORUM)

The Caribbean Forum of ACP States (CARIFORUM) comprises sixteen (16) Caribbean countries, i.e. Member States of CARICOM, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. The CARIFORUMhas developed an administrative structure. The CARIFORUM Directorate is located at the CARICOM Secretariat in Guyana and the CARICOM Secretary General also functions as the Secretary General of CARIFORUM. The CARIFORUM Directorate is responsible for administering the work of CARIFORUM under the Cotonou Agreement and the CARIFORUM-EUEconomic Partnership Agreement (EPA). The current Director General is Mr. Percival Marie. The highest body is the Council of Ministers which meets at least once per year. There are established Rules of Procedure and the Chairmanship rotates in alphabetical order. Jamaica assumed the chairmanship of CARIFORUM on 1st July 2016 and will hold that position until 30th June 2017.
