Senator the Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr., Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Mr.Dale Eppler, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, United States (US) State Department last week discussed bilateral cooperation on energy investment and security.
Mr.Eppler, who participated in the Inaugural Meeting of the Working Group for the Jamaica-USA Framework to Strengthen Infrastructure Investment and Energy Cooperation paid a Courtesy Call on the State Minister.
He noted, that the US is “looking for countries where investment climates are ready,” and stated that both countries are “exploring areas of possible energy investment.”
For his part, Minister Charles emphasized the importance of “adequate forecasting and the maximisation of partnerships to invest in and resource the energy sector.”
