JAMAICA BEMOANS CUBAN AIRCRAFT CRASH, BOEING 737

Jamaica has expressed deepest condolence to the Government and people of Cuba following the deadly aircraft crash earlier today, resulting in the loss of over one hundred lives.

“In this time of mourning, we share the deep pain of all Cubans, our closest neighbours, with whom we have enjoyed a long fraternal relationship over the years”, said Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

The Foreign Minister has given the assurance that the families who have lost loved ones are in the thoughts and prayers of the Government and people of Jamaica. “We very much hope that they will be find courage and solace even in this difficult time” she stated.
