On the margins of the CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting in Saint Lucia, the CARICOM Secretariat and the Jamaica Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding through which Jamaica will provide support for Operationalising and Institutionalising the CARICOM Results-Based Management (RBM) System.

The CARICOM RBM system is being developed to serve as a mechanism to engender a more results oriented culture within the CARICOM Secretariat, Regional Institutions and Member States.

Jamaica’s support comes after a series of sensitisation seminars conducted by the Secretariat in Member States, and is expected to include:

  1. Technical assistance in developing a Terms of Reference for the consultancy for the development of the CARICOM RBM Policy;
  2. Information on Jamaica’s best practices in implementing its RBM Programme; and
  3. Assistance with developing an Information Technology Platform for RBM.
