The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade with profound sadness sends condolences to the family of St. Kitts and Nevis High Commissioner to Jamaica, His Excellency Cedric Harper, following his sudden passing on Wednesday, August 29.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith articulated, “For almost two decades, the High Commissioner represented the interests of St. Kitts and Nevis in Jamaica with distinction and contributed to the strengthening of the close friendship between Jamaica and his beloved country. He will also be remembered as a profound educator and for his tenure as Dean of the Diplomatic Corp here in Kingston.”
The Foreign Minister also stated that “the Ministry conveys deepest condolences to the family of the bereaved, the members of staff of the High Commission and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, on behalf of the Government and people of Jamaica.”
