Johnson Smith updates the international community on Jamaica’s progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals

Kamina Johnson Smith during Jamaica’s Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the #2030Sustainable Development Goals, delivered this morning at the United Nations (UN), New York Headquarters. 

The Minister also shared that since Jamaica’s first VNR in 2018, the country has expanded its protected marine and coastal areas beyond the global 2020 target, ”increased forest protection; updated the Nationally Determined Contributions(NDCs) and worked to harness the potential of the blue and green economies.”
