The Republic of Korea donates Medical Equipment valued at $USD 1 Million to Jamaica

Caption: “The donation, which includes 5 electrosurgical generators, 20 diathermy pencils, 100 Littman stethoscopes and 18 suction machines, represents some of the much needed supplies that the Korean Government continues to provide to our health sector…building on Korea’s consistent support to Jamaica, since the start of the pandemic in 2020. To date, we have been the beneficiaries of medical supplies and equipment well worth over two million US dollars.” Sen. the Hon. Leslie Campbell at the handover of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health and Wellness by the Korean Chargé d’ Affaires, Mr. Baejin Lim on December 6 at the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

 

For his part the Korean Chargé d’ Affaires commended the Jamaican healthcare teams for their “stewardship and leadership during the difficult three years brought on by the pandemic.” He stated “Korea stands with you and is here to boost your capacity in the hope that your strong response continues.”
