The Jamaican Down’s Syndrome Foundation Receives over US$5,300 from Mission in Washington D.C.

Caption: Sen. The Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, today presented a cheque on behalf of the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC to Mrs. Marigold Harding, Patron of the Jamaica Down’s Syndrome Foundation (JDSF).

Established in October, 2007, the JDSF, a member of Down Syndrome International (DSI) stages the annual #LiftUpDowns Benefit Concert to assist the over 500 families registered with the Foundation.

Valued at USD$5,303.37, the funds represent proceeds from the Jamaica 60 Independence Church Service on July 31 at the Sligo Seventh Day Adventist Church, Takoma Park, Maryland.
