Ambassador-designate of Argentine Republic presents Credentials to Minister Johnson Smith

Caption: Argentine Ambassador-designate to Jamaica, Mr. Marcelo Angel Balbi Calvo, presented Copy Letters of his Credentials to Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, earlier today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Downtown Kingston.

Minister Johnson Smith extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador-designate and lauded Argentina’s effective leadership during its term at the helm of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

During the meeting, she also highlighted the mutual significance of agricultural development and food security for both nations and expressed enthusiasm for technical cooperation in other areas such as the Spanish language.
