On 22nd September 2022, the Embassy of Jamaica and Mission to the European Union in Brussels hosted its Independence Day reception. Invited guests included representatives of the Belgian Foreign Ministry, members of the Diplomatic Corps in Brussels, representatives of the European Union, International Organizations in Brussels and members of the Jamaican community in Brussels.
In addition, remarks were made by H.E. Ambassador Symone Betton Nayo, H.E. Ambassador Patrick Hermann, Director in the Latin American and Caribbean Division in the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, and Ms. Myriam Ferran, Deputy Director-General, Directorate General for International Partnerships, European Commission.
