Jamaica’s representative at the Mission in Berlin participates in Jamaica 60 celebratory activities in Serbia

Caption: The Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Jamaica in Berlin, Ms Deniese Sealey, participated in Jamaica 60 celebratory activities in Serbia from the 14th -16th July 2022.The activities included a bilateral meeting at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an appearance on Radio Television of Serbia where she spoke about the influence of reggae music on Jamaica’s culture and the significant role Jamaican music played prior to and after independence. She also visited along with the Honorary Consul of Jamaica, Serbia and the Wailers Band, a statue of Bob Marley in Banatski Sokolac, South Banat District of Serbia. A Reggae concert organised by the Honorary Consul, featuring the Wailers Band, was the highlight of the Jamaica60 celebrations. The concert was well received by the over 2500 attendees.
