Caption: “It is good for our Diaspora to know that they are contributing towards the lives of Jamaicans.” -Minister Johnson Smith on Friday, Nov.18 as she presented a cheque of over US$2000 to executive director of the Mustard Seed Communities, Mrs. Darcy Tulloch-Williams at the Ministry’s waterfront headquarters.

As Tulloch-Williams noted, the cheque, which is the proceeds from the Independence Church Service hosted by the Jamaican Consulate in New York at the Bronx Bethany Church, will go towards the welfare of nine (9) tube-fed babies under the organisation’s care. She also commended both the Diaspora and Jamaicans at home for their assistance during the more dire period of the pandemic.
