Happy Independence Day Mexico! ¡Viva Mexico!

Attended by Senior Public Officials, Heads of Missions, members of the Diplomatic Corps and the Consular Corps, the reception hosted on Friday, September 13 at the residence of Mexican Ambassador to Jamaica, Juan José Gonzáles Mijares was a grand celebration of Mexico’s 209 years of nationhood.

Minister Johnson Smith in toasting Mexico noted that, “Jamaica and Mexico have maintained a robust, dynamic partnership for the past 53 years.” She also indicated that Jamaica, “is particularly pleased with the growing levels of trade and investment from Mexico and looks forward to new businesses investing in, and partnering with Jamaican firms in the coming years. This level of entrepreneurial engagement continues to make a significant contribution to advancing Jamaica’s economic growth.”
