Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago’s Trade Delegation Exchange Best Practices

Caption: On Tuesday, November 22, Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith received a Courtesy Call from a Trade Delegation from Trinidad and Tobago, led by that country’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Sen. the Hon. Paula Gopee-Scoon, who conveyed PM Rowley’s best wishes to Prime Holness.

Both agreed that there are opportunities to share best industry practices from both sides. Minister Gopee–Scoon expressed her country’s interest in learning from Jamaica’s tourism expertise and growing success in the Junior Stock Market. At the same time, Minister Johnson Smith commended the twin island republic for its training, mentorship and apprentice system in its manufacturing sector.

They also discussed the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in both countries.
