State Minister participates in Bastille Day celebrations

Caption: “On the 233rd anniversary of Bastille Day, we recall the perseverance and determination of French citizens to create a society built on Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (liberty, equality, fraternity), which have become the hallmark of our collective democratic existence. France has emerged as a  trusted voice on several key issues, including climate change and sustainable development… reinforced at the highest level, with the joint leadership given by President Macron and Prime Minister Holness on climate finance for the 2019 UN Climate Summit.” Sen. The Hon. Leslie Campbell @ a reception commemorating #BastilleDay2022 and the 60th Anniversary of #DiplomaticRelations between Jamaica and France (July 14).

On the bilateral level, Minister Campbell noted “the steady growth in cooperation  various areas.” He also described French investment in Jamaica as robust, “particularly in infrastructural development, shipping and logistics, highway linkages, renewable energy and petroleum distribution.”
