Johnson Smith says the EU funds critical areas of national development

Kamina Johnson Smith during her Opening Statement at the 6th Jamaica- European Union Political Dialogue, now (Jul.20) underway at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Jamaica. 

Prior to opening statements from the EU Co-Chairs, Mr. Javier Nino Perez, Deputy Managing Director for the Americas in the European External Action Service and Ms. Ms. Myriam Ferran, Deputy Director General, International Partnerships, European Commission (EC), Minister Johnson Smith also welcomed the announcement  that the EC has adopted a proposal to allocate 600 Million Euros from the EDF reserves to  address resulting food and  security challenges stemming from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
