Johnson Smith participates in Commonwealth Foreign Ministers meeting in London

Caption: Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister, Sen. the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith on Wednesday, March 15 participated in the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting at Marlborough House in London.

 

Jamaica raised important points relevant to Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in particular, Financing for Development, access to concessional funding, development of a Multidimensional Vulnerability Index( MVI) and Universal Vulnerability Index (UVI),as well as technical cooperation provided by the Commonwealth.

Foreign Ministers also discussed critical issues of mutual and global concern including, building resilience for peaceful, just and stable societies, climate financing and environmental sustainability, leveraging intra-Commonwealth trade and digital connectivity and modernization of the Commonwealth.
