Minister Johnson Smith hands-over cheque to Alpha Institute

On Thursday, September 5, the Alpha Institute received a cheque valued at Five Hundred and Twelve Pounds and Ninety-four Pence as contribution towards the upgrade of the school’s Music Department. The funds were proceeds from the Memorial Service of Jamaican-born Musician, who was based in the United Kingdom, the late Clarence Linberg Miller, popularly known as Count Prince Miller.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith made the presentation to Administrator of Alpha Institute, Mrs. Margaret Little Wilson at the Ministry’s New Kingston Offices.

In receiving the cheque the representative said, “As we transcend into the 21st century from traditional performance to music production, we will certainly make sure the funds are put to good use in the name of Count Prince Miller. I would also like to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade for facilitating this hand-over.”
