Minister Johnson Smith Inspires Youth Leaders with Legacy of Jamaican International Prowess

Caption: “As we continue on a path to achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), we are reminded that Jamaica established its Vision 2030 Jamaica, our National Development plan, before the UN established their Agenda 2030 – just another little thing that Jamaica can be proud of.” Sen. The Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, at the Inaugural National Youth Leaders’ Summit 2022 on Wednesday, November 30 at the Jamaica Conference Centre (JCC).

Minister Johnson Smith went on to note that Jamaica’s youth is expected to play a critical role in the development process. “You literally are the hands, the minds, the feet the brains, the human core—one third of our population  that will help to get us there. You are important to this process.”
