Minister Johnson Smith Receives Copy Letters of Credence from Ambassador-designate of Spain

Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, receives Copy Letters of Credence from Ambassador-designate of Spain, His Excellency Josep María Bosch Bessa, on Tuesday, May 9 at the Ministry’s headquarters in New Kingston.

Minister Johnson Smith welcomed the Ambassador to Jamaica, and highlighted the centuries-old history and strong cooperation activities between the two countries, including in the areas of tourism, health, infrastructure and education.

The Minister reiterated Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ efforts to increase Spanish language education in schools, citing this as another area for strengthened cooperation.
