Minister Johnson Smith recently congratulated outgoing Indian High Commissioner (HC), Sevala Naik on completing his very first Ambassadorial-level tour-of-duty in Jamaica – an engagement she described as a very fruitful one.

According to the Minister, it was the HC’s “personal commitment to promoting the Indian Technical Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC),” that led to the “increased uptake of training opportunities allocated to Jamaica.“ She also described the HC as “a staunch advocate for the opening up a Jamaican High Commission in India.”
