Senator Johnson Smith received the Senate’s nod to extend the States of Public Emergency in Kingston Western and Kingston Central

Senator Johnson Smith, Leader of Government Business in the Senate on Friday, June 26 received the Senate’s nod to extend the States of Public Emergency (SOPE) in Kingston Western and Kingston Central Police Divisions.

“We view the extension of the SOPE as an important part of efforts to save lives and protect the residents of communities who are most at risk. All areas under SOPE’s recorded reductions in murder and shooting,” the Foreign Minister shared.
