Foreign Minister engages with Canada’s Minister of International Development during Courtesy Call

Caption: Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development today (Jan 13) met during a courtesy call at the Ministry’s offices.

 

As Jamaica and Canada celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, the Ministers discussed strengthening the partnership between the two countries in the areas of agriculture, crime and security, particularly ways to engage unattached youths through social intervention programmes.

They also spoke about the situation in Haiti.
