Homecoming for Adrianna! Johnson Smith welcomes Adrianna Laing back to Jamaica

Caption: Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister, Sen. the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith has commended burn victim, Adrianna Laing on her strength and resilience, following her six month long medical treatment in the USA.

 

Speaking during a Homecoming Ceremony held at the Norman Manley International Airport this afternoon (March 30), the Minister noted Jamaica’s delight on the progress Adrianna has made in her recovery.

The Minister extended gratitude to the donors and benefactors for what she describes as their “amazing generosity:” the Sanmerna Foundation; Mr. Morland Wilson, MP, Westmoreland Western; Mrs. Alsion Roach Wilson, CG NY; Mr. Oliver Mair, CG Miami; the Atlanta Jamaican Association; the Jamaican Diaspora; Friends of Jamaica; the Embassy of the United States of America; the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Austell, Georgia; and Shriners.

Johnson Smith also thanked members of family, friends, well-wishers and the media for an outpouring of love and for welcoming home Adrianna and her father, Adrian Laing.
