Jamaica celebrates with the People’s Republic of China on their 74th Anniversary (October 1)

The Minister also acknowledged China’s hand in Jamaica’s infrastructural build-out. She stated: “The steady expansion of our road network, including the highway connecting the north and south of the island, and of course, the new home of the Foreign Ministry, bear testimony to China’s ingenuity and kindness.”

The Minister also noted China’s support in the health and education sectors, through facility construction, scholarships and training. She also highlighted the socio-economic contributions of the Chinese Community in Jamaica, contributing to “our nation’s rich tapestry of cultural heritage, making us truly, “Out of Many, One People”.
