Presentation of Copy Letters of Credentials by High Commissioner-designate Rugwabiza to Minister Johnson Smith

High Commissioner-designate of Rwanda to Jamaica, Valentine Rugwabiza presented her Copy Letters of Credential to Foreign Affairs Minister, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith this morning at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices. During their discourse, the two dignitaries pledged to work more closely together at the bilateral level to develop a more vibrant partnership between the countries.

“There are several areas in which we can cooperate in our own spaces; mining, logistics, agro-processing are areas in which Jamaica and Rwanda are seeking to promote. We have worked well in multilateral space, and with your accreditation here I am hopeful that we can grow our relationship in the bilateral space.”

 

Jamaica and Rwanda established diplomatic relations in November 1998.
