Us Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to Make Working Visit to Jamaica

The Government of Jamaica will next week welcome the US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo. Secretary Pompeo is to arrive in Jamaica for a two day working visit from January 21-22. The Secretary of State and his delegation will be met by his counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith.

Minister Johnson Smith stated, “We welcome the visit of Secretary Pompeo as a demonstration of the commitment of the United States of America to once more strengthen its engagement with Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. We truly look forward to this opportunity to engage and re-inforce our longstanding ties.”
