Foreign Ministry hosts special event in honour of partnership with the National Gallery of Jamaica

Caption: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade hosted a special event in honour of the National Gallery of Jamaica, which has donated several pieces of art work to the Ministry and its overseas Missions on Thursday, November 4.

In her remark, Foreign Affairs Minister, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith stated, “I am happy that the artwork currently on display at the new facilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade represents a renewed and expanded partnership with the National Gallery of Jamaica, to showcase a diverse collection of our island’s rich visual culture.”

In thanking the gallery, the Minister shared that, “You have  allowed us the opportunity to increase the reach of Jamaican art across the globe.  This, she shared, “aligns with our vision of ensuring that our offices overseas represent all aspects of Jamaica and demonstrates to the global community the creativity and rich culture of our beloved country.”

The guests were also given a tour of the Ministry where pieces of art from the gallery are on display.
