State Minister and Diaspora Affairs team meet virtually with Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council

In addition to encouraging the Council members to “make use of the multiplicity of social media networks to attract, engage and include a greater number of youth in the Jamaica-Diaspora partnership,” the Minister also noted that “members should seek to promote Jamaica’s more healthy fiscal space and growing investment opportunities to their peers in the Diaspora.”

The parties also discussed preparations for next year’s Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference and the Jamaica Diaspora Engagement Mechanism (JAMDEM)—an investment portal for the Diaspora, among other issues.
